DAYA MULTIBUDAYA, PT (JIMS)

The Jakarta International Multicultural School (JIMS) is a candidate school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).

JIMS conducted a thorough research before it eventually decided to adopt the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. By using this international curriculum, JIMS will be in a much better position to pursue its motto in ‘Advancing Creativity and Excellence’ through the development of the whole child: body, mind and spirit. The IB curriculum encourages the students of JIMS not only to excel in maths, science and computer but also to be well versed in languages, art, drama and music, and sport. In considering the whole child, no one area is more important than the others.
The Environment
We are a school with a family atmosphere, situated in the magnificent grounds of the International Sports Club of Indonesia (ISCI) in Ciputat, South Jakarta. Our school fronts onto a beautiful lake, which can be seen from every classroom, and is surrounded by tall green trees. It is probably the greenest school in Jakarta.

Multicultural Environment
Our truly multicultural students come from many countries in the world, including America, Australia, Britain, Cameroon, Canada, Holland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Russia, Singapore, and Thailand. JIMS teachers provide a learning environment that encourages tolerance, understanding and respect for different cultures and one that encourages co-operation between pupils. Consequently, our students develop a cultural awareness and tolerance at an early age.

Bus Service
The school buses provide a door-to-door pick-up and drop-off service to most areas of Jakarta. It is school regulation that the students be accompanied on the bus by a chaperone whose takes care of the children and maintains discipline on the bus ensuring students remain seated throughout the journey.
